With extensive remodeling, Ubben-Funeral Home started serving the Humboldt area of Iowa. Jessica grew up in this area and together Jayme and Jessica felt it was a good fit and opportunity for them. Jessica graduated from Humboldt High School in 2005. After high school Jessica continued her education at Des Moines Area Community College and graduated from the Mortuary Science Program in 2008. Her funeral home career started with Ewing Funeral Homes in Britt, Kanawha and Clarion in 2007. Through Ewing's she completed her apprenticeship and became a Licensed Funeral Director. Jessica and her husband Matt were married on October 10, 2009 in Humboldt. In August of 2010, Jessica started working for Lentz Funeral Homes in Algona, Livermore and Burt and has been employed by Jayme Lentz since. Jayme graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1991. In August 2001 Jayme and his wife moved to Iowa Falls where he worked for Surls Funeral Home. His search began to find a funeral home to own. He had looked at a couple of funeral homes including the Lentz Funeral Homes. Moving back to this area just seemed to make sense to Jayme and his wife Melissa. Jayme and his wife Melissa have owned Lentz Funeral Homes in Algona, Livermore and Burt since January 1, 2006.
